I'm a pregnant slacker!

Ok everyone....so I am a total slacker and haven't updated my blog for awhile. I am a bad blogger!

A lot has happened since my first post. I had my first OB appointment and ultrasound at 11 weeks! That was totally awesome! My friend Alicia had to come with me because daddy Neal was out of town working, but not to worry, he got to come to another ultrasound with me at the Pregnancy clinic! I should get ultrasound pictures up soon, I just have to find someone to help me scan them! No scanner in the Lindsley household!

I had morning sickness bad from week 7 to about week 13. And really, they shouldn't call it morning sickness...mine was all day, and the worst a night. Go figure! I am so happy that has finally subsided and I can finally eat and smell food again. Last night I was craving pickles from Boll Weevil......I have no idea why!

My tummy is growing every week. It is crazy to see my body change. But Neal loves it and is always giving me belly rubs and talking to the baby!

I will leave you with a picture of my baby bump at 13 weeks and a promise to be a better blogger!

This Friday is my second OB appointment.... I will be 17 weeks and we are hoping for another ultrasound!

Telling Neal I'm Pregnant!!

So if you haven't heard yet, I'm pregnant!!! It came as a bit of a suprise to me, but once the shock wore off (literally like 5 minutes later) I was overjoyed and happy!

I was excited and a little bit scared to tell Neal that I was pregnant so...I decided to give him a card and a present on my birthday (to totally confuse him).

Here is what I wrote in the card:

Dear Daddy Neal,

I can't wait to meet you in 8 1/2 months.

Love,
Baby Lindsley
Due May 15th 2008

In the box were two newborn onesies (one for a boy and one for a girl!) and my positive pee stick in a ziplock bag. I don't even think Neal looked at the pee stick. After he opened the card, he asked me "Are you pregnant?" and I said "YES!"

Even though he doesn't show it a lot, Neal is very excited. He says "Most people would be scared, but I'm not."

So here we are....at the beginning of one of life's biggest adventures, Parenthood. I can't wait to see what the next 8.5 months have in store for us.
